Healthy, Tasty Moroccan Pork Chops
This recipe is so easy, it’s shameful. When I made these tasty little nuggets for Dave, he said, “That dinner was so good, you should patent it.”
You need:
1 pound lean pork chops
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp ground coriander
Sprinkle pork chops with salt & pepper. In a resealable plastic bag, combine cinnamon, cumin, and coriander. Drop the pork chops in the bag, seal it, and shake until well-coated; allow to marinate 20 minutes.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, then spray with Pam. Add pork chops and grill until cooked through — about 8 minutes — ’til they’re nice and brown. Mmmmmm, carbon.
And… that’s it! You’re done. Eat ‘em.
These are great with sauteed zucchini and cucumber salad. Add some strawberries for dessert and some almonds on the side, and you’re Zone-perfect.
Want more healthy fat? Cook the pork chops in a Zone-friendly amount of canola or olive oil.
Want more healthy carbs? Serve with a Zone-friendly amount of brown rice, a whole-grain tortilla, a whole-grain pita, or whole-wheat couscous.

Sooo delicious. Sooo flavorful. Sooo easy!
Used bone-in chops from my free range half hog purchased from a local farmer. Accompanied with cucumber salad (with cucumber, yoghourt and lemon) as well as homemade spicy guacamole (avocado, red birds eye chili, lime, cilantro, olive oil, garlic). Place on some mixed greens. Looked beautiful, smelled delicious, tasted fantastic.
PS- love your site!

OMG, this was so good. I cooked it in Coconut oil and I made some sweet potatoes to go with it… mmm, tasty delish.
I used to have these in regular rotation at our house, then I kinda forgot about them. I think I need to whip up a batch next week. Glad you like them!
I’m trying these out today! Stoked!
Wait… “Moroccan pork chops”? This is a joke, right?
