Hard Eight
I am, as Dave likes to say, “risk averse.” I don’t even like the idea of a surprise party.
But I like games of chance, and I LOVE Vegas, baby.
Craps is my game. What’s more fun than rockin’ a sparkly dress with a cocktail in one hand and a pair of hot dice in the other?! One time, I even played for an hour or so at the Hard Rock Casino with the guitar slinger himself, Mr. Brian Setzer.
In craps, the Hard Eight — two fours — is a long shot bet, and it pays 9 to 1. Super sweet if you hit it; a heartbreaker if you don’t.
This morning, Crystal gave us a workout that will forever be known as the Hard Eight. Check it!
8 rounds:
- 20 jump squats
- 15 walking lunges w/ overhead PVC rotation
- 20 PVC snatch
- isometric low squat – 30 seconds
- sprint up hill
Typed up, it doesn’t look like much, but it was a killer quad-and-lung burner! I was in hot pursuit of Lyssa the whole time. She smoked me on the run, but I managed to catch her in the middle section so we started the isometric squat together every time.
Our time: approx. 30 minutes
