600 Russian Twists
The corporate overlords kept me hopping today, then we had a really excellent Happy Hour with my project team, and now I’m off to get ready for Karaoke Apocalypse. Whew!
[SHAMELESS PLUG: Karaoke Apocalypse tonight at Red Seven (7th & Red River) at 10:00 p.m. NO COVER!]
Before I head out for the night and maybe maybe maybe have a few cocktails (to add to the ones I just enjoyed at Happy Hour… yikes!), I have to share the workout we did in the parking garage at Bootcamp this morning. Crystal was definitely on a tear!
4 rounds, 20-minute cut-off:
10 right arm snatch, 15-lb dumbbell
10 left arm snatch, 15-lb dumbbell
150 Russian twists, 8-lb. ball
400m run / 300m run/ 200m run/ 100m run
That’s 600 Russian twists, y’all. Six hundred. 600.
At the 20-minute cut-off, I had 90 Russian twists and the 100m sprint to go… so I did ‘em, even though we were technically out of time. I hate to have a DNF.
Core work:
:45 plank
:20 left plank
:20 right plank
30 left plank hip dips
30 right plank hip dips
Whew!
