Remembering
Pink is the New Blog is one of my favorite silly ways to take a break from work. It’s packed with deliciously snarky celebrity gossip, and Trent, its author, has a vicious sense of humor balanced by a truly sweet sensibility.
Every year, he pays tribute to the victims of September 11 by posting their names. It’s sobering and classy.
This morning, I remembered with a start when I looked at the microwave clock and saw it said 8:00. “Shit. That’s about the time,” I thought, instantly transported back to my 2001 apartment in San Francisco and that shocking morning. Rather than delve too deeply into my own reminiscences, I instead invite you to take a trip over to Trent’s house and read his blog post.
