Marching for a Cause

As you know, Team Relentless is using the Bataan Memorial Death March to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project. (Look left and click if you’d like to make a contribution.)

Our honorary team member Dave Elliott over at ...And the Adventure Continues… is also running for a cause: the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. Check out this interview with Dave and read his amazing story. Dare you not be inspired by his badassness.

Here’s a tasty tidbit to get you started:

“Two years ago I was sitting on the couch watching the White Rock Marathon, fat and out of shape. Over the past 12 years I had run two marathons prior, but swore off such foolishness after each of them.  That Sunday afternoon after watching the Rock, I ran/walked/crawled two miles and lamented to myself how far I had fallen from grace. Just 14 months later I completed the Grasslands 50 miler…”

[This is Dave E., running a few weeks ago in the crazy Dallas snow.]

Coming later today: my report on our 14-mile hike on Saturday.
