Confession: On Friday, when I fully expected to be eating Thanksgiving, Part Deux: The Reckoning, I instead awoke from a nap with a craving. Dave jumped into action hero mode and in less than 30 minutes, I was eating a double cheeseburger (no bun) from P. Terry’s with a side of fries that I sprinkled with truffle salt.

Confession time: I’m not terribly skilled at roasting whole birds. In my life, I’ve made one Thanksgiving turkey (successful), roasted duck (disastrous in process; delicious to eat), and one roasted chicken (Boring as Hell; I don’t think I actually roast chicken.)

I was craving Italian food last night, specifically, a big ol’ pile of pasta. But grains are out of my life. Turns out, it’s not the noodles I want, but those wonderful Italian spices.

Last night, around 9:00 p.m., I cobbled together a lunch for today that turned out to be totally kickass. My lunch RULED!
This is a 3-block Zone meal. You can easily make it four blocks by adding a more protein and fat. If you’re a giant human and get to eat 5 blocks at a meal, f*ck you. (I’m bitter today about being “petite.”)
